Thank you for coming to Open House last Thursday! I loved watching students as they got to "show-off" all of the amazing things that they are doing this year. As your fifth grade tour guide/child demonstrated, it is hard to “Keep Up With a Fifth Grader.” The acknowledgement of their progress and hard work means so much to them! Dear Room 19 Families, I hope that you were able to stay dry during the rainy weather! We are almost finished with Scholars Speak presentations, and there have been some inspiring New Year’s resolutions shared! Thank you for taking the time to think about goals for the New Year, and how to be your best self in 2017! Parents, you may have noticed that students received their FIRST negative Dojo point on Friday. I give out negative points very sparingly! In Room 19, we work as a team, and the expectation, and understanding, is that each student’s job at school is to be a focused, respectful, and thoughtful learner. Last week, I had to give many reminders about our class expectations, and many assignments were completed that lacked effort and care. Please take the time to discuss the importance of respect, and taking pride in one’s work, at home. Thank you for your support! Below, please find some reminders and updates, as well as a brief summary of what we are working on this week. Information & Updates:
