What We're Working on This Week:
  • Reading- We are continuing to read Home of the Brave as a class, and students are working in small group book clubs.
  • Writing- We are working on narrative writing.  Students have learned different strategies for coming up with a narrative topic- people you love, places you love, and strong feelings.  Students have chosen one narrative to focus on, and are working on editing and revising it with all of the author’s craft techniques and strategies that we are learning (get inside the story, consider internal and external thoughts, use dialogue, show don’t tell, think about the purpose of the story, and more).
  • Math- We are finishing the first half of Module 2, “Multi-Digit Whole Number and Decimal Fraction Operations,” and our Mid Module Assessment will be on Tuesday. Remember to take a look at the resources on the “Math” page of our class website! All students have their Xtra Math usernames and passwords, this is a great resource to increase math fluency!
  • Social Studies- Please check Mrs. Stelter’s website.
  • Science- We are entering into our next Scope, Ecosystems.

As always, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
